Dear Patrons,
We know it has been a long time since you have heard from us. We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well. We are happy to announce that we have, what will hopefully be, some good news for you. After roughly four months, we are finally going to begin a phased reopening of Villa Mosconi. As indoor dining remains on indefinite hold in New York City, we will be reopening for local delivery, takeout, and limited outdoor seating. We are taking advantage of the NYC Open Restaurants program to be able to do sidewalk and curbside seating. This is going to be a bit of an adjustment for us and there will be a learning curve to get it right. We hope you will be patient with us as we learn to navigate this new normal that we are all facing.
Right now, we plan to open Tuesday, July 14th. Currently, the plan is to be open for takeout and delivery only for the first day or two.We will be open from 3:00-9:00pm. We are hoping to be ready for outdoor dining by Thursday, the 15th. If we are able to be ready ahead of schedule, we will update you. We are doing everything we can to ensure the well-being and safety of all of our staff members and customers. Enacting some of the cleaning and preparation protocols to meet these standards have caused us to face some challenges with obtaining supplies and materials from vendors. We do not want to rush this process at the cost of safety. We have always taken pride in our excellent record of maintaining the highest safety standards for our food preparation and all of our facilities. We plan on only enhancing that attention to detail now.
We will be offering a limited menu upon reopening. We have been known for offering an expansive menu of great Italian dishes. Unfortunately, for the time being, we will have to limit that menu to some customer favorites and other dishes that allow us to procure provisions readily and easily. On the plus side, we can prepare all of your favorite cocktails and wines to-go (as well as for your table once we begin outdoor dining).
The best way to reach us will be by calling the restaurant at 212-673-0390 or 212-674-0320. Someone will be available starting around noon each day we are open (still Monday-Saturday). As mentioned earlier, we are figuring this out as we go but we will do our best to answer any questions you may have. For now, or online reservation system with OpenTable will remain suspended. While we do anticipate eventually being able to take some reservations for outdoor seating, due to social distancing requirements and limited availability, we are not yet sure to what extent we will do that. Again, as the situation remains fluid, you can always call to find out the latest.
